This year, National Public Works Week is May 20-26, 2018 and the theme, "the Power of Public Works," celebrates the impact of the many facets public works provides to determine a community’s quality of life. Public works professionals contribute services that are indispensable to our way of life.
The City of Concord’s public works services are performed by Concord General Services. A summary of these services include trash and recycling collection, providing clean drinking water, processing wastewater to maintain public health and the quality of the Merrimack River, public property maintenance, servicing City equipment and vehicles, snow plowing, and maintaining roads and City water systems. These services provide resources to the Concord community that we have grown accustomed to having every day.
