Change Direction NH Hosts Forum on Kid's Mental Health
Experts will be in Concord on Sept. 14 to answer questions and offer guidance to parents and caregivers.

CONCORD, NH — How do parents know what 'normal childhood behavior' is? Is there more to that temper-tantrum? What about that extreme shyness? From birth, children rely on their parents and others to care for them and promote their well-being. Unfortunately, children don't come with an owner’s manual and each develops at a different pace.
To provide answers and solutions, Change Direction NH will host its first in a series of community forums on mental health. On Sept. 14, a panel of experts will lead parents, child care providers, doctors and educators through a conversation about childhood mental health. Experts will share what they are seeing in their practices, emerging issues, practical advice, and where to seek assistance. This interactive discussion is geared for everyone working with and caring for children age 0-10.
The Forum on Childhood Mental Health will be held from 6:30 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 14, 2016, at the Center For Health Promotion, 49 South Main St. #101 in Concord. Participants include Dr. 'Skip' DeVito, Pediatrician, Concord Family Health Center; Dr. Sasha Kuftinec, Psychiatrist, Concord Family Health Center; Dr. Julie Bassi, Psychologist, Bow Elementary School; Peter Evers, Executive Director Riverbend Community Mental Health; and Dellie Champagne, Parent and Advocate.
