CHS' Connolly to Step Down Next Year

Advance stages of Amyotropic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) or Lou Gehrig's Disease prompt decision to resign.

Concord High School principal has announced his resignation and will be stepping down from the position at the end of the school year.

Connolly, who was diagnosed with Amyotropic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) or Lou Gehrig’s Disease last year, announced his resignation to students at CHS this morning and officials recently, as the disease had been advancing.

Since the announcement last year, the Concord community has rallied around Connolly, hosting walks and fundraisers, and even participating in numerous ice bucket challenges last year.
