City Clerk Office's: 2,000+ Dogs Have Not Been Licensed Yet
Are you a Concord resident? Haven't licensed your dog yet? On June 1, a late fee will be instituted.

Submitted by Concord City Clerk’s Office:
April has come and gone and you know what that means….dog owners that have not licensed their dogs are late. Out of 5,700 dogs in the city, only 3,300 have been licensed to date. That’s 2,400 hundred dogs that are not yet licensed….if one or more of those dogs belong to you, we need your help.
Beginning June 1st a late fee of $1 per month per dog is assessed. In July, in accordance with RSA 466:13 we begin sending out civil forfeiture fines of $25 for each unlicensed dog within the city. We do not like sending out fines for unlicensed dogs any more than you like receiving them. So if you are a dog owner that has not yet licensed your dog, please stop by or drop a check in the mail to license do so. Please also remind a neighbor or friend along the way to do the same.

The licensing fees are: $10 for non-spayed or non-neutered dogs; $7.50 for spayed or neutered dogs; $7.50 for dogs under 8 months old; $2 for the first dog for owners age 65 and over (regular fee for any additional dogs); $20 for five or more dogs of the same owner. (Remember if you license your dogs in May you pay no additional late fees; beginning in June and as stated above – that is not the case).
If you licensed a dog in the great City of Concord last year and have relocated outside of Concord or Penacook or no longer have your pets, please contact the City Clerk’s Office by phone at 225-8500 or via e-mail atcityclerk@concordnh.gov so that we may update our records. This will save tax dollars on certified postage expenses when the City begins the issuance of the $25.00 civil forfeitures in July for unlicensed dogs.
