CONCORD, NH — The city of Concord has issued a citywide parking ban on Sunday night and Monday morning due to approximately 3 to 9 inches of snow expected to fall on the capital city.

All on-street parking is banned in the city from 11:59 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 19, until 7 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 20, so the general services department can remove snow from streets and sidewalks. Concord police will begin ticketing vehicles and towing them just after midnight. Residents who do not remove their vehicles will also be responsible for the tow fee.

Free parking is available at three city garages and two other lots in Penacook through 8 a.m. on Tuesday since it is free on Martin Luther King Jr.-Civil Rights Day (Monday).
