Citywide Parking Ban Issued For Concord Overnight
In order to clear streets of snow without issues, the city is banning on-street parking from midnight tonight until 7 a.m. on Saturday.

CONCORD, NH — In an effort to clear snow from streets without any problems, like vehicles being in the way of plows, a citywide parking ban has been issued for Concord.
During the overnight hours of midnight and 7 a.m. on Saturday, no parking will be allowed on any city street.
“The community’s cooperation to move cars off the street is appreciated to help plows more efficiently clear snow,” an alert said. “Cars not removed from the street can impede snow removal and block plows on narrow streets. Violators are subject to receiving a ticket and being towed by Concord police.”

Free parking is available in three city garages — on School Street, North State Street, and Storrs Street. Cars can be moved to the garages beginning at 7 p.m. through 8 a.m. on Monday for permit-leased spaces and 9 a.m. with metered spaces.
Penacook residents may park in the Canal Street Municipal Lot, at the corner of Canal and Village streets, near Chief’s Restaurant. The lot is posted “no overnight parking” but overnight parking is allowed during emergency winter parking bans. The city is requesting Penacook residents only park on the public spaces on the south side of the lot, along Canal Street.
