Comfort Inn to Get More Solar Panels
New windows, siding will also to be installed at the Concord hotel.

The Concord Planning Board approved an Architectural Design Review Committee recommendation to approve of façade changes, new windows, and more solar panels that The Duprey Company would like to install at its Comfort Inn property on Hall Street.
According to Assistant City Planner Steve Henninger, the company will install 44 solar panels on the southern roof of the inn. The building will also be re-sided with two different shades of vinyl clapboard siding. Currently, there is siding and cedar shakes on the hotel. New double-hung windows will also be installed.
These modifications are the first exterior renovations at the hotel since it was constructed in 1989.

Steve Duprey, owner of The Duprey Companies, attended the Nov. 28, meeting, and said the changes would bring the hotel to as close to its original coloration when it was first constructed as possible.
The windows, he said, “more energy efficient” and “more consistent with traditional New England architecture.”
