Concord Coaches Coming to Market Days
41st Annual Market Days Festival will highlight the coaches as part of the city's 250th anniversary celebration.

Concord’s favorite annual summer shindig returns to downtown next week: mark your calendar for Intown Concord’s Market Days Festival running Thursday, June 25 - Saturday, June 27.
The 41st Annual Market Days Festival is a month earlier this year due to the Main Street construction project, but the schedule is bursting with both perennial favorites and refreshing new offerings, according to a press statement.
In honor of Concord’s 250th anniversary, Concord 250 is excited to present the Abbot-Downing Historical Society’s authentic Concord Coaches at the Market Days Festival. Weather permitting, these iconic treasures will be on display daily from 10 a.m. through 2 p.m. at the base of the Statehouse steps during the festival.

The nonprofit Abbot-Downing Historical Society is working hard to raise funds for the purchase of additional rare, beautiful and individually crafted horse drawn vehicles made by the Abbot Downing Company. There is a small window of time to raise the funds necessary to save and preserve these unique pieces of history. The all-volunteer society is trying to bring the pieces home to Concord where they were built over a hundred years ago.
Donations toward this acquisition can be made payable to “The Abbot-Downing Historical Society” and mailed to Abbot-Downing Historical Society, P.O. Box 4077, Concord, NH 03302. The society’s dedicated volunteers look forward to bringing these special pieces of New Hampshire history home to share with future generations.
