In homicide and suspicious death cases, a press release is usually issued by the New Hampshire Attorney General’s Office. No statement has been made at post time.

Concord Police Deputy Chief John Thomas limited comment about the incident because it was still an open investigation.

“It is an unattended death and it is being investigated,” he said.

During this time period, police and fire and rescue teams were also sent to O Steak and Seafood for a report of a man with lacerations.

Firefighters cleared the scene later, reporting to dispatch the incident was a police matter. An officer was able to get control of a man and took him to Concord Hospital. He was placed in a yellow pod and trespassed from the restaurant later. Family members were also contacted, according to scanner chatter.

Not long after that incident, police were sent to the Hannaford supermarket to deal with two homeless shoplifters. A store manager said one of the suspects had a large knife and they were concerned about confronting the person about stolen items.

Officers dealt with that situation as well.
