Concord Cops Track Down Stolen Motorcycle At McDonald’s Restaurant

Cops are investigating a stolen motorcycle incident at the South Main Street McDonald's Sunday; a woman was injured during an altercation.

CONCORD, NH — Concord police are investigating a stolen motorcycle incident that injured a woman at the McDonald’s Restaurant on South Main Street.

Just past 4:30 p.m., an officer frantically requested backup from dispatch after a suspect reportedly fled from the area of a stolen motorcycle. The motorcycle was in the drive-thru of the business and the officer said she was running from the scene. The officer caught up to the woman and requested fire and rescue teams due to a knee injury the woman sustained.

The officer said the motorcycle was the same one that “took off” on him a few nights ago. At that time, according to scanner chatter, a watch commander told officers not to engage in a chase of the stolen motorcycle.

The officer said the plate was the same as the stolen bike from the previous incident, but he requested a VIN check. After running the VIN, the dispatcher said the plate belonged to a different stolen motorcycle. Both were Kawasakis.

Officers sealed the area with yellow tape while firefighters and EMTs examined the woman. She was taken to Concord Hospital and EMTs were back in service around 5:15 p.m.

An officer went to the hospital and later reported the woman was in a decontamination room due to her being “covered in gasoline,” according to scanner chatter. She requested an attorney, so officers refrained from questioning her, one officer told dispatch.

A tow truck was then called to the business to remove the bike.
