Concord Man Accused of Firing BBs at Cops

Police arrested Jesse John Deflorio last night.

A local man will be arraigned in court later this morning on a reckless conduct charge after alleging fire BBs at police earlier this month.

Jesse John Deflorio, 22, was arrested around 11:30 p.m. on Sept. 24, on a warrant, according to Lt. Michael McGuire, a watch commander for the Concord Police Department.

According to police, back on Sept. 5, officers were at a traffic stop on South Main Street near Water Street and they came under fire from a person with a BB gun. Neither the officers nor the occupants of the vehicle that was stopped were injured but numerous BBs were shot at them during the incident.

While investigating the incident, officers recovered a Crosman 1911 BB Gun, a CO2 cartridge, an empty magazine, and numerous BBs. The investigation eventually led them to Deforio, who was later arrested.

Deflorio was held on $10,000 cash bail. He will be arraigned in court at 11 a.m. today.

He is no stranger to police, according to previous arrest reports.

Deflorio was arrested in June for allegedly assaulting his girlfriend and since he was on bail at the time, he was also charged with breach of bail. In January, after not paying a fine, he was arrested on a warrant.

In June 2013, he was arrested on obstruction, mischief, and breach of bail charges after another incident with a woman on Garvins Falls Road. Two months later, he was arrested on driving charge.
