Concord Man Arrested 5 Days After North End Shooting
Ezra Burdette of Concord was arrested on a felony reckless conduct charge, accused of shooting a gun on Rumford Street on Saturday.
CONCORD, NH — New Hampshire State Police have made an arrest in a shooting in the North End of Concord on Saturday.
Ezra Burdette, 20, of Concord, was charged Thursday with felony reckless conduct. He was released on personal recognizance and is due in Merrimack County Superior Court for arraignment on Sept. 15. State police accused Burdette of shooting a gun on Rumford Street on Saturday.
Around 3:45 p.m. on Aug. 20, Concord police were sent to a report of shots fired in an area between Franklin and Church streets. A witness told police a Black person in a silver Honda Civic and a black Chevrolet Malibu, with three Black people inside, got into an altercation, and then shots were fired.

The witness said there was a shell casing in the middle of the street. Later, police found at least two casings in the street.

Not long after, a Concord officer stopped a Malibu, matching the description, on Bouton Street. State police K-9 units were seen in the area of Walker and Rumford streets not long after the shooting.

Neither troopers nor Concord police would comment about the investigation on Saturday.
But on Sunday, state police requested anyone in the area with security video or surveillance footage to come forward as they attempted to piece together their investigation. Investigators said they thought the case might be a road rage incident.
