CONCORD, NH — A man from Concord was arrested by New Hampshire State Police after a crash on Interstate 89 in Hopkinton on May 1.

Just before 11 p.m., Hopkinton and Henniker fire and rescue teams and state police were sent to the area of Mile Marker 9.8 for a rollover crash near Exit 6 on the southbound side of the highway. Witnesses called 911 after seeing the vehicle on its roof and in the median. Due to the condition of the crash scene, it looked as if someone was ejected from the vehicle and those were the initial reports, according to state police. However, only one person was involved in the crash, the driver, Larry Cole, 40, of Concord. He was entrapped, extricated, and then taken to Concord Hospital with serious injuries.

State police later arrested Cole on driving under the influence, operating after suspension-subsequent, transporting drugs in a motor vehicle, and possession of controlled drugs-subsequent charges.
