Breaking: Luis Abraham Gonzalez was arrested after allegedly mugging a woman on Warren Street and burglarizing a Pleasant Street apartment.

CONCORD, NH — A local parolee was arrested after two alleged criminal incidents in the city during the past nine days, according to police. Luis Abraham Gonzalez, 37, of Concord, was arrested on March 19, 2018, and charged with felony burglary. On March 26, he was arrested again for unarmed robbery and theft by unauthorized taking, both felonies, and simple assault. Back on March 19, police were sent to a halfway house on Pleasant Street for a report of a man going through cabinets in a kitchen at around 4:30 a.m.

“Officers were able establish that no one at the residence knew Mr. Gonzalez and that he had no right to be in the home or taking property from within,” Ford alleged.
Gonzalez was found to be out on parole, and was arrested and held at the Merrimack County House of Corrections on a parole hold.

About a week later, officers were sent to Warren Street near the Durgin Block Garage for a report of a woman being robbed. The officers spoke with the victim as well as witnesses who stated that the woman was walking down the street when a man approached her from the opposite direction.
“As the male passed the victim, he assaulted her and took a bank bag from her and fled down a nearby alley,” Ford stated. “A suspect description was provided to responding officers and detectives.”
Detectives located a suspect matching the description – reportedly Gonzalez – on Storrs Street. After speaking with him, he was arrested. Gonzalez was held on $12,000 cash bail and arraigned in Merrimack County Superior Court on March 27.
