For the theft charge, according to a court affidavit, police were sent to Walmart on Loudon Road to investigate a past tense theft at the store on Nov. 1, 2015.
The loss prevention employee alleged that the suspect stole five cans of Ultra Duster canned air and a Monster energy drink via the self-service checkout, all valued at around $26, and then fled the store in a cab. The employee later learned that the suspect then stiffed the cab driver after getting dropped off at the Holiday Inn.

The officer eyed surveillance footage at the store and then the hotel and found that the suspect was the same. A still of the footage was shared with officers and it was alleged to be Osgood, who was also wanted for a potential criminal trespass case on Graham Road on the same night.
According to that incident warrant, police were sent to the home for a report of a man with a no trespass order allegedly entering a parked car at the home. The woman stated that she saw activity at the base of the driveway and believed it was a neighbor. Later, she noticed a man sitting in the passenger seat of her mother’s vehicle. She remotely opened the door of the vehicle – which turned the light on inside the vehicle – and she alleged it was Osgood sitting inside.
“(She) stated that Osgood ran down the driveway and got into a tan Chevy Blazer with two other people in it,” the officer reported.
The woman alleged that on Oct. 22, 2015, she was inside the home and found Osgood allegedly in one of the rooms. She demanded he leave, since there was a no trespass order against him, and he did. Dispatch later informed the officer that the order had not yet been served to Osgood.
On Nov. 2, the officer investigating the theft called the ex-girlfriend about the previous incident and she stated that Osgood allegedly was “a huffer” and had left a can of Duster in the vehicle when fleeing, according to the report. She also stated that she had taken a cab that day and the cabbie was talking about getting stiffed on a ride the night before after driving a man from Walmart to the Holiday Inn.
“(The ex) stated that as the cab driver was telling the story, she was certain that the subject he was speaking of was Mr. Osgood,” according to the court affidavit.
The officer later met with the woman and members of her family to show the security stills and they allegedly identified it at Osgood.
Three weeks later, Osgood, who was in the Merrimack County House of Corrections on unrelated charges, was charged.
A few weeks after that service, Osgood was served again at the jail for the forgery and other charges.
According to an affidavit, in early October 2015, an officer was sent to Graham Road for a forged check allegation.
A male resident of the home found that a check had been cashed on Sept. 21, 2015, allegedly in Osgood’s name. The check was for $225 and made out to Osgood for “reg fees,” according to the report.
The couple stated that Osgood had dated their daughter years ago and when he had been at the home recently, they didn’t recognize him. The daughter introduced him as “Brock,” she stated. He had been at the home working on a fence and was at the home unsupervised, they alleged. Their daughter also wanted to buy a vehicle from Osgood and he was paid $250 cash. They never gave him a check, they stated.
In late October, the officer met with a bank security investigator to get video footage of the check being cashed. They also had a copy of his license, according to the report.
The officer matched the footage with pictures of Osgood on file, according to the affidavit.
