Concord Man Held on Cash Bail After Alleged Shotgun Incident
Robert Martin was arrested last night on felony charges after reportedly threatening a pizza delivery driver.

A local man who allegedly pulled a shotgun on a pizza delivery driver last night is being held on cash bail pending an arraignment in Concord District Court later today.
Robert Martin, 57, of North State Street in Concord, was arrested on Nov. 19, 2015, and charged with reckless conduct; place another in danger and criminal threatening (use of a deadly weapon), both felonies.
According to Lt. Timothy O’Malley, the commander of the criminal investigations unit, officers were called to the area of North State Street and Clarke Street at around 7:30 p.m. for a report of a distraught man who pointed a shotgun at a pizza delivery man.

“The victim reported that he delivered food to a multi-family apartment building located on North State Street,” O’Malley stated in a press release. “Upon arrival he made contact with the male occupant and noticed that he was intoxicated. While completing the transaction, the deliveryman said that the male in question made statements that he did not care if he lived or died.”

At some point following this, the customer went into another room and retrieved what appeared to be a shotgun. The delivery driver reported that the man then pointed the gun directly at him while walking towards him.
At some point the male in question asked the deliveryman if he wanted to handle or hold the shotgun,” O’Malley stated. “When the deliveryman declined to do so, the male in question sat down on a chair and ’racked’ the gun. Shortly after this, the deliveryman exited the apartment and called the police.”
Officers set up around the residence and attempted to secure the area while making contact with the man, later identified as Martin. Police also received contact from “multiple civilians who were familiar with the male,” including his landlord.
“One of these civilians was able to make contact with Martin via phone and asked him to exit the home without the gun,” according to O’Malley. Martin did as he was asked, exiting the building and surrendering to police.”
Police requested a search warrant for the apartment and a shotgun was allegedly recovered by Concord Police.
Martin was later ordered held on $10,000 cash bail and will be arraigned this morning at the 6th Circuit – District Division – Concord (Concord District Court) this morning (Nov 20, 2015) at 11 a.m.
