Concord Police Called to Shooting on Rumford Street

First responders were called to Rumford Street at around 6 p.m. on March 10, 2015, for a report of a fatal shooting.

The National Emergency Alerts-New England network issued an alert about a possible fatal shooting in the 40 block of Rumford Street at 5:50 p.m. An updated alert, about 15 minutes later, stated that the incident was a gunshot wound to the head. An hour later, the feed commented that the public was not in danger and they would not be commenting further until the NH AG issued a statement.

Lt. Timothy O’Malley, the commander of the criminal investigations unit for the Concord Police Department, confirmed that the public was not in danger.

“There’s no crime,” he said. “The public is not danger and there is no reason for anyone to be concerned.”

O’Malley stated that the incident was in a home near the intersection of Rumford and School streets.
