Dianne joined the Department in February 2001 and currently serves as a Dispatcher in the Communications Unit.
Each year the Department responds to 56,000 to 60,000 calls for service. The vast majority of the calls originate in the Communications Unit. In her position she is tasked with communicating with complainants on the phone, documenting their reasons for calling the police, and ultimately dispatching the appropriate personnel to handle the complaint.
Dianne is a veteran dispatcher known for her outstanding customer service skills and ability to multi-task between speaking with complainants on the phone, communicating with police officers on the road, and documenting all of the transactions in the computer simultaneously. In addition to her regular duties, she also assists in training new dispatchers.
Dispatcher Makenzie Moore received a Letter of Commendation for her professionalism, multi-tasking capabilities and calm manner during the midnight shift on May 15, 2014. During an already busy shift that was operating with a reduced number of officers, a call came in for an armed robbery in progress at Dunkin Donuts on Fisherville Road. The female clerk had been physically assaulted and bound and believed the suspects may be armed and still inside the store. Makenzie remained on line with the victim, comforted her and coordinated responding officers and additional manpower from NH State Police.
Officer Michael Adam, Officer Christian Lovejoy and Moore received Letters of Commendation for their actions in response to a call for a domestic disturbance where a female had been repeatedly assaulted that evening by her intoxicated boyfriend who was armed with a handgun. He was heard making comments that he was trying to bait the Officers into shooting him.
Detective Charles Wroblewski received a Letter of Commendation for his investigation of a local car wash company whose owner was bypassing his water meter in order to reduce his city water bill. The owner was arrested and as part of his plea agreement he was required to pay back the $50,000 in water revenue that he stole from the City.
Sargent received a Commendation Bar for Meritorious Service for his actions during a motor vehicle stop which resulted in the discovery that the couple driving the vehicle were heroin addicts with criminal records and that they had left a 4 year old child alone in their apartment. The child was just feet from steep hardwood stairs and 40 feet from an unsecured and loaded 9 mm handgun under the pillow in her parent’s bed. Several exposed syringes, sharp utensils and tactical sharps were easily accessible. In addition, there were three registered sex offenders living within the immediate area. The couple was arrested and charged with Endangering the Welfare of a Child.
