CONCORD, NH — Concord police have identified the man who was found dead on an embankment at the intersection of Interstate 393 and South Commercial Street in late April.

Police were sent to the area on the morning of April 22 after a patron of The Friendly Kitchen told staff there was a body on the embankment. After confirming there was a body, more officers were sent to the scene, including the department’s evidence technician van. Investigators were at the site for several hours.

The remains were taken to Concord Hospital and an autopsy was performed. The cause and manner have yet to be determined, Lt. Thomas Yerkes of the department’s bureau of investigations stated.
