Body Found In Concord Off I-393 And South Commercial Street
Concord police are investigating a body found Tuesday morning on the embankment at the intersection of I-393 and South Commercial Street.
CONCORD, NH — Concord police are investigating a dead body found down the embankment of the intersection with Interstate 393 and South Commercial Street on Tuesday.
Police were sent to South Commercial Street around 11:15 a.m. after a patron of The Friendly Kitchen told staff there was a body on the embankment. After confirming there was a body, more officers were sent to the scene, including the department’s evidence technician van.
An officer put yellow tape around the sidewalk from I-393 to South Commercial Street. The back lot of The Friendly Kitchen is also taped off. A tarp is covering the body.

The right eastbound lane of I-393 is closed to traffic.
Police are also investigating the skeletal remains of a body found on North State Street on Monday. An autopsy is being performed on the body to determine the cause of death and confirm the identity of the person.
