Concord Police Log: Thrown Items, Loud Music, Vodka Lead to Garvins Falls Road Arrest

Plus, woman tells police she lives in fear of her son; Dover man charged as habitual offender; local DWIs, drug arrests, too.

Stephen C. Wilber, 28, of Garvins Falls Road in Concord, was arrested at 5:30 p.m. on Dec. 14, 2014, and charged with resisting arrest or detention. According to an arrest report and court affidavit, officers were sent to an apartment on Garvins Falls Road for a possible domestic. When they arrived, they spoke with a woman who stated she was scared because her boyfriend was intoxicated and throwing things around the apartment. She denied any physical contact. The reporting officer went to speak to the man, Wilber, who was reportedly “dancing around while listening to blaring, loud music.” He lowered the music volume and sat down to speak with the officer who noted Wilber’s ever-changing moods and an empty bottle of vodka on a counter. While speaking with the officer, Wilber allegedly smashed his head against a wooden support beam, vomited on the floor, and later, pounded on a table with his fists, so he was told that he would be taken into custody. Wilber stood up and flipped a table, and was warned that he would be charged with resisting if he didn’t stop. While trying to cuff him, he allegedly flopped on the floor, kicked, and flailed his legs around, stating he was not going to jail. Wilber was arrested and held without bail.

Steven M. Rohde, 68, of Warren Street in Concord, received a summons at 8:42 a.m. on Dec. 13, for operating without a valid license, and was arrested at 12:16 p.m. on Dec. 13, for operating without a valid license. In the first incident, an officer stopped a Toyota Camry with a passenger side brake light out on North State Street. The driver, Rohde, had an expired license from September and was given a summons. About three hours later, an officer on Loudon Road saw a Toyota Camry with an expired inspection sticker near the Morning Star Apartments and pulled the vehicle over at Aaron’s on Loudon Road. Rohde allegedly admitted that he didn’t have an active license and had received a summons earlier in the day. “Rohde said that he knew that he was not supposed to drive but he needed to get around,” the officer alleged, so he was arrested.

Alexander Wayne Blodgett, 28, of Richmond Drive in Concord, was arrested at 8:17 a.m. on Dec. 13, on criminal trespass and violation of protection order; penalty charges. Officers were sent to Richmond Avenue for a man who was violating a temporary protection order, the woman’s son, who was sleeping in a vehicle on the property. The vehicle, a 2015 Ford Escape with dealer plates, didn’t belong to Blodgett and he didn’t have permission to be in it. The woman alleged that Blodgett “began to yell at her” so she called police. “Yes, we live in fear,” she reportedly told the officer about Blodgett’s alleged actions and he was arrested and held without bail.

Thomas Knowlton, 55, of Golden Ridge Road in Sherman, ME, was arrested at 11:30 a.m. on Dec. 12, for driving after revocation or suspension. He was stopped on Loudon Road after a DMV check on a vehicle that came back as non-registered. He allegedly admitted to the officer that he was just coming from the NH DMV for a habitual offender hearing and was arrested.

Andrew R. Goodnow, 31, a homeless man now located in Concord, received a summons at 5:55 a.m. on Dec. 12, for criminal trespass, for sleeping on a mattress on state property along Constitution Avenue.

Corey David Mallock, 22, of Rose Street in Dover, was arrested at 6:52 a.m. on Dec. 11, on a felony habitual offender charge. An officer clocked a Toyota Corolla going 45 mph in a 30 zone on Manchester Street. The vehicle was stopped at Cumberland Farms and the driver, arrested, due to driving with a suspended license. While driving to the station, the officer learned that Mallock was wanted by Dover Police for the same charge and was certified by the NH DMV as a habitual offender. He was also cited for speeding and is due in court on Jan. 26.

George R. Anguish, 59, of Portsmouth Street in Concord, was arrested at 12:31 p.m. on Dec. 11, for driving while intoxicated. An alert was put out about a possible impaired driver in a Toyota Camry near Concord Hospital. An officer saw the vehicle “driving at a high rate of speed” on Fisk Road just before the intersection with Little Pond Road. “I did not think it was going to stop at the stop sign,” the officer alleged. “At that time, I thought the vehicle was going to enter Little Pond Road and strike my cruiser broadside.” The vehicle was pulled over on Little Pond Road and a second officer was called to the scene. Anguish reportedly had glassy eyes, appeared to be confused, and had difficulty focusing. After a field sobriety test, he was arrested. During an inventory search, police found methadone and clonazepam, medications issued earlier in the day that had specific intake instructions that allegedly appeared to have not been followed properly by Anguish, according to the pill count, officers alleged.

Craig S. Kenyon, 51, of Concord Street in Concord, received a summons at 4:47 p.m. on Dec. 10, for theft by unauthorized taking or transfer from the Agway on Sheep Davis Road on Sept. 24, 2014. He was served while in the Merrimack County House of Corrections.

Deanna L. Bennett, 42, of Maccoy Street in Concord, was arrested at 8:31 a.m. on Dec. 10, on a default or breach of bail conditions charge from Nov. 26, 2014, in Boscawen.

Sophia Degiso, 20, of Lady Slippers Road in Woodstock, was arrested at 3:20 a.m. on Dec. 10, on driving while intoxicated and unlawful possession of alcohol charges. An officer observed a 2005 Dodge Neon ignoring the markings in the road at the intersection of Storrs and North Main streets. The vehicle, according to the officer, crossed into the cruiser’s travel lane requiring him to hit the brakes. The Dodge later pulled into the Cumberland Farms without using a directional. The officer spoke to the woman, Degiso, who allegedly couldn’t remember her birthdate, was slurring her words, and smelled like marijuana. She allegedly stated she was from Lincoln but dispatch came back with the town of Woodstock. When asked a second time where she was from, Degiso allegedly stated, “Woodsock.” She reportedly stated she was coming from “NHTII” to pick up a friend “over there,” pointing to another part of the city, to drive to Portsmouth. She agreed to a field sobriety test and was arrested. During an inventory search, a metal pipe with burnt residue was allegedly found on the center console of the vehicle.

Brian Patrick Holmes, 35, of Loudon Road in Concord, was arrested at 10:01 p.m. on Dec. 9, on three felony counts of possession of controlled drugs. Officers were sent to Loudon Road to assist parole and probation employees who reportedly found a bag of pills sticking out of the pocket of a pair of blue jeans at an apartment during a visit. Once they saw the pills, they stopped their visit and called police. Holmes, the person who wasn’t being visited, allegedly admitted that the pills were his. According to a court document, he allegedly bought the pills – Xanax – on the street, to come down from his methadone. According to an inventory of the pills, the bag contained alprazolam, methadone, and clonazepam.

Charles Phinney, 59, of Riverland Road in Canterbury, was arrested at 4:52 p.m. on Dec. 9, on driving after revocation or suspension and suspended registration charges after a traffic stop at Village and Coral streets in Penacook. He’s due in court on Jan. 26.

Drew R. Fields, 29, of North Main Street in Concord, was arrested at 2:30 p.m. on Dec. 9, on a possession of drugs charge. Officers were sent to Rollins Street for a report of a subject with active warrants being at the apartment. There were five people in the studio and the officer reportedly saw one, Fields, allegedly moving something off the table and putting it in his jacket. There was also reportedly a glass pipe on the table in front of Fields. Fields allegedly later removed a bag of marijuana from his pocket and he was arrested.

Cam Gelinas, 24, of Broadway in Concord, was arrested at 8:38 p.m. on Dec. 8, on a bench warrant for nonpayment of funds for operating after suspension. He was stopped on Broadway for driving a pickup truck without using its headlights.

Ann Marie N. Fernandez, 26, of Fisherville Road in Concord, was arrested at 3:15 p.m. on Dec. 8, on a bench warrant for suspended registration from Dec. 4, 2013. An officer at the Lun Hing Motel on Fisherville Road observed a young boy walking alone toward Dunkin’ Donuts. The officer went to speak with the boy and later, found out that his mother had an active warrant. The boy was taken back to his apartment where a babysitter was spoken to about why he was outside. She said she was running a few minutes late. Fernandez later showed up at the home and was arrested.
