Christine Wheeler, 23, of Village Street in Penacook, was arrested at 12:02 a.m. on Aug. 17, and charged with disorderly conduct, endangering the welfare of a child or incompetent, and resisting arrest or detention. Officers were called to an apartment on Village Street for a 911 hang up call, according to an arrest report and court documents. When dispatch called back, she spoke with a man who alleged that his girlfriend was “drunk” and “acting up.” The man stated he had just gotten home from work and the two began arguing. Since he was on pre-trial services and didn’t want to get into trouble, he called police to deal with her. Another officer spoke with Wheeler who had made her own allegations. While the officers were speaking with the man about the situation, Wheeler allegedly came out and started yelling and walked towards the man in an “aggressive manner,” according to police. The officers asked her to remain calm but she then allegedly started yelling at the officers and making “vulgar comments” about the two of them. Wheeler was warned to stop but reportedly continued to rant, rave, and swear, at the officers and the man, and she was arrested. She then allegedly pulled away from the officer while being cuffed but was eventually contained and put in the cruiser. “Christine said her attorney would love to hear this story and that she was going to sue the department,” the officer alleged. “She then began kicking the windows of my cruiser.” She refused bail and was arraigned the next day.

Gelinas, 24, of Broadway in Concord, was arrested at 3:03 a.m. on a warrant. An officer on North Main Street saw a white Acura with an expired inspection sticker and followed the vehicle to the Centre Street intersection where it reportedly was traveling slow. The vehicle was stopped as turned onto Centre Street before North State Street. Gelinas allegedly admitted that he knew the vehicle was not inspected. The officer alleged that his eyes were bloodshot, red, and glassy, and that he and a female passenger showed signs of intoxication. Gelinas reportedly stated that the two were drinking at Penuche’s. After some back and forth about whether he was safe to drive, an accusation of harassment, and ultimately, Gelinas’ refusal to take a field sobriety test, he was arrested. Gelinas allegedly smelled like alcohol in the cruiser and during processing, was “irritable and agitated” and accused the officer of “hassling” him. Tyler Gelinas then called his brother Cam Gelinas to come and bail him out and when he did, police realized that Cam Gelinas had an active warrant for nonappearance in court on Aug. 5, and he was also arrested.
