Concord Police Log: Wrong Way on Main Street Leads to DWI Charge
Plus, background check at gun show leads to bail issue, MVHS teen is busted for drugs, breach, heroin spoon in a boot, and warrant arrests.

Justin E. Lee, 28, of Pleasant Street in Manchester, was arrested at 1 p.m. on April 28, 2015, for forgery and theft by deception, both forgery charges, from June 27, 2014, at First Colebrook Bank on Loudon Road. Lee was served while in New Hampshire State Prison.
Brian Peterson, 23, of Amory Street in Manchester, was arrested at 3:50 p.m. on April 27, and charged with felony organized retail crime enterprise from an incident at the Ocean State Job Lot on D’Amante Drive on Sept. 13, 2014, involving a $99 credit. He was arrested by state police, handed over to Concord, and is due in court on June 1.
Gordon W. Ladd, 47, of Essex Street in Concord, was arrested at 6:19 p.m. on April 26, for violation of a protective order on Essex Street earlier in the day. He was held and arraigned the next day.

Blair R. Thompson, 26, of Walking Crest Court in Silver Spring, MD, was arrested at 1:37 a.m. on April 25, for driving while intoxicated, driving after revocation or suspension, traffic control devices, and disobeying an officer. An officer saw a 1989 Lincoln sedan reportedly driving north on North Main Street even though traffic is now running one-way south. The officer tried to stop the vehicle but it didn’t stop until it had circled the block, through the Prescription Center parking lot, and then onto North Main Street again. The driver, Thompson, lost his license in Maryland in September 2014, due to non-payment of child support, according to a check. Thompson reportedly told the officer that he and the passenger were at Tandy’s earlier. He agreed to a field sobriety test and was arrested.
Meagan E. McFarland, 26, of Thompson Street in Concord, was arrested at 10:30 p.m. on April 24, on a bench warrant. Officers were sent to the Concord Gardens for a report of a suspicious vehicle in the parking lot. They spoke with two women in the vehicle including McFarland who had an active warrant from Dec. 12, 2014, out of Concord District Court for DWI, $495 cash to settle. She was arrested and is due in court on May 18.

Conor McKinney, 24, of Manchester Street in Manchester, was arrested at 10:55 a.m. on April 21, on a bench warrant out of Laconia District Court from Feb. 17, 2015, on a driving after revocation or suspension charge.
Jacob A. Ellsworth, 17, of Dogwood Terrace in Concord, was arrested at 12:55 p.m. on April 20, for possession of controlled drugs and default or breach of bail conditions from an incident on April 10, 2015, at Merrimack Valley High School. He’s due in court on June 1.
Joshua A. S. Jackson, 33, of Bumfagon Road in Loudon, was arrested at 5:47 p.m. on April 19, for felony possession of controlled drugs and a bench warrant. Officers were sent to the Cumberland Farms on Manchester Street for a report of a suspicious man. While en route, they ran into the man, Jackson, walking on Manchester Street. A check yielded a warrant from March 23, 2015, out of Concord District Court for nonappearance on a speeding charge, $361.67 cash to settle. Jackson was arrested and during a pat down, police allegedly found a capped syringe in a pocket in his jeans. A spoon with traces of heroin also allegedly fell out of his boot at headquarters, according to police. He’s due in court on June 1.
Blake J. Vannest, 23, of Penwood Drive in Concord, was arrested at 3:21 p.m. on April 18, on a bench warrant. Police were sent to the gun show at the Everett Arena on Loudon Road for a report that Vannest, who had an active warrant, might be there allegedly attempting to purchase a firearm. Police made their way to the gun stand that had requested the check and spoke with a clerk who provided police with a copy of Vannest’s non-driver ID. He said he was with a woman but had left the gun stand area. Police later found Vannest exiting the men’s room. He had an active warrant from January 2013 for contempt of bail order, $226.88 cash to settle, for nonpayment of an attorney fee. He was arrested, paid the cash, and was released.
