Follow-Up: Concord Police Seek Tips After Capital Plaza Bomb Scare Saturday: Watch

CONCORD, NH — Police requested assistance on Sunday with a suspicious device case after an incident at 2 Capital Plaza in Downtown Concord on Saturday night.

Around 8 p.m., police and fire and rescue teams were sent downtown for a report of a box with liquid inside and wires hanging out. Smoke was also reportedly emitting from the box.

After a short investigation, police confirmed it was an incendiary device and police requested firefighters to check it. They deemed it safe.

“The NH State Police Explosives Unit later examined the device and determined it was a smoke-style device,” police said on Sunday. “At this time, it is believed that no one was in danger. This incident is still under investigation.”
