Concord’s Black Ice Pond Hockey Fireworks 2022: Video
Update: Intown Concord cancels downtown Winter Festival events; ice carvings will be displayed; tournament matches continue Sunday.
CONCORD, NH — If you missed the Black Ice Pond Hockey Fireworks at White Park in Concord on Friday, check out the video clip.
Intown Concord, according to an email on Saturday morning, has canceled Winter Festival activities with the exception of the ice carvers and the ice bar. Ice carvers were already staying in the city so travel was not an issue for them. They will continue their work, as long as they can, at the Statehouse and their work will be on display next week.
As long as the weather allows, the ice bar will be open at O Steaks and Seafood.

The Black Ice Pond Hockey Tournament will play a morning schedule and a full day on Sunday.
“This is really disappointing for everyone involved however safety is our number one priority,” Jessica Martin, the org’s executive director, said. “Intown Concord will be working to reschedule as many elements from today’s festival as we can for the springtime.”
