Concord Softball Team State Champions

CONCORD, NH - The Merrimack County Savings Bank Cap Area 8U Softball All Stars completed a sweep (6-0) this past weekend in the Babe Ruth 8U State Tournament held in Barrington.

With 12 teams competing in the Friday-Sunday event, the Cap Area squad battled through pool play games, going 3-0 and earning the #2 seed heading into Championship Sunday.

After eliminating Lamprey River, the girls earned a hard fought, late game come from behind victory in the Semi-Finals by edging Windham, then earned their 2nd consecutive State Championship by defeating Barrington in the Finals.
