Concord Teen Arrested On Gun Charges After Hanover Street Shooting
Jayden Ballam-Quiah was arrested Thursday on reckless conduct and other charges; he was out on bail due to prior theft and alcohol charges.

CONCORD, NH — A local teen is due to be arraigned in Concord District Court on Friday after being arrested on gun charges after a shooting on Hanover Street.
Jayden Ballam-Quiah, 18, of Concord was arrested on Thursday night on felony reckless conduct, unauthorized use of a firearm, and breach of bail conditions charges.
According to police, officers were sent to Hanover Street between Centre and School streets for a report of shots being fired in the area. Police learned there were several juveniles, dressed in hoodies and masks, screaming at each other outside of an apartment in the area.

Several witnesses heard gunshots and some people fled the area. Others were found inside an SUV on School Street.

“Officers contacted the occupants and secured the residence,” Deputy Chief John Thomas of the Concord Police Department said.
Ballam-Quiah was then arrested. He was out on bail after being accused of theft and alcohol charges after an incident in mid-December. At the time, he was residing in Loudon. Ballam-Quiah requested bail, was held, and taken to the county jail. He is due to be arraigned on Friday.
Several juveniles were also taken into protective custody.
The SUV driver also had an active bench warrant and was released on a summons.
The apartment building was also the scene of an armed home invasion report in late November 2023.
