Concord Woman Accused Of Knife Threats, Stabbing Apartment Door
Frances Plourde was accused of threatening to stab a man with a knife and stabbing a door in an apartment on Borough Road.

CONCORD, NH — A woman from Concord was arrested on knife threat charges after being accused of threatening a man on Aug. 17.
Around 4:30 p.m., dispatch sent officers to an apartment on Borough Road for a report of disturbance. A man stated a woman, Frances D. Plourde, 55, of Concord was intoxicated and attempted to stab him with a knife. The man said he was safely secured in a room inside the apartment.
The reporting officer spoke to the complainant, who accused Plourde of coming at him with a large kitchen knife. He described the knife and then the officer spoke to Plourde.

Plourde told the officer the man abused pills, would not leave her alone, and was constantly bothering her, an affidavit said. When asked if she intended to hurt the man with the knife, she said if the man did not leave her alone, she would “commit murder,” the report said. Plourde was asked if she had stabbed the man, and she said she did not think so but did admit to stabbing a door, an affidavit said.
“Frances was not coherent or specific in the exact reasoning as to why this argument ensued,” the officer wrote. “However, she did state multiple times that she is an alcoholic.”

A second officer told the reporting officer there were stab marks on a door. The second officer also interviewed the victim — who said he was cleaning a bathroom when Plourde “swung open the door while holding a knife,” the report said. The man claimed she had the knife “raised over her shoulder” with “the sharp end of the knife pointing toward him,” the affidavit stated, and said something to the effect of, “If you don’t be quiet, I’m going to kill you.”
The second officer said the victim feared “she was going to kill me” while holding the knife, the report said.
Plourde was arrested on criminal threatening-deadly weapon and domestic violence-criminal threatening-deadly weapon charges, both felonies, as well as a criminal mischief charge.
