According to a court affidavit, an officer stopped a Ford Explorer in Bow for having an expired registration at just after 7:15 p.m. The driver – Miller – allegedly stated that she didn’t have a license and never obtained one from the state of New Hampshire. The officer also learned that she was a defendant in a protective order case and the protected party was the owner of the vehicle.

When asked why she was driving the man’s vehicle, she allegedly responded, “I screwed up,” according to the affidavit, but added that she had permission to use the vehicle. She was then taken into custody and transported to police headquarters.
During processing, Miller reportedly made a phone call from the booking room to a relative, who didn’t pick up their phone, and then another person. The officer alleged that Miller stated the man’s name and told him his vehicle was impounded, according to the report. The officer then spoke to Miller about her phone calls and allegedly confirmed she had called the protected party, a violation of the protective order.
