Concord Police head to alarm activation on Manchester Street and allegedly find Zachary Snyder with burglary tools; has numerous priors.

A local man will be arraigned later this morning in Sixth Circuit District Court after allegedly being caught burglarizing CitySide Grille on Manchester Street.
Zachary J. Snyder, 24, of Airport Road in Concord, was arrested at 10:40 p.m. on Jan. 7, and charged with felony burglary, possession of burglary tools, criminal mischief, and a bench warrant.
According to a statement from Lt. Timothy O’Malley, the commander of the criminal investigations division of the Concord Police Department, officers were sent to the eatery for an alarm activation last night. When they arrived, they found a vehicle parked suspiciously that had no connection to the business. After scouting around the property, they reportedly found pry marks on the rear door of the business. The door, O’Malley noted, was not secure and could be opened.

“Before officers entered the building, a male subject was observed exiting a side door of the business holding a pry bar, and hammer,” O’Malley stated. “The officers ordered him to drop the tools and to lie on the ground, to which he complied. He was handcuffed and identified as Zachary Snyder.”
Officers later learned that the cash register had been pried open. The owners later told officers that no cash is ever stored inside the register. The register was destroyed during the incident, according to the report.
