Upon arrival, police were told by the owner that at approximately 10:30 a.m. a young woman came into his store looking to sell various items. “Having checked everywhere, the owner became suspicious that the young woman took the watch as no other customers had been in the store,” according to Lt. Timothy O’Malley, the commander of the criminal investigations unit for the Concord Police Department. “A short while later, the owner called a local pawnbroker and was told that at approximately 11:10 a.m., a young female matching the description came into the store trying to pawn a watch. The description of the watch matched that of the one missing from the jewelry store.”
The watch in question is described as a men’s Bulova wristwatch, with gold tone and a rectangular dial, black face and stainless steel back. It is valued at approximately $400 to $500, according to the alert.
