Discover Wild NH Day Held Saturday
The annual Department of Natural and Cultural Resources event features all kinds of exhibits and will celebrate Smokey Bear turning 75.

CONCORD, NH — The New Hampshire Department of Natural and Cultural Resources’ annual Wild NH Day will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, April 20, 2019, at the Fish & Game HQ at 11 Hazen Drive in Concord. Admission to the event is free. The event features exhibits, art demonstrations, and many other activities and information for the public.
Learn about the state’s 93 park properties while enjoying s’mores at a campfire. State forestry officials will share tips on how to permanently plant seedlings. And organizers will also be celebrating the 75th anniversary of Smokey Bear, a cartoon character created to raise awareness about forest fires.
