Downtown Concord to Lose Another Store
Your Home, Your World on Main Street will close after more than six years in business.

First there was The Primary Diner on Pleasant Street. Then, it was Viking House around the corner, announcing that it would close. Now, down the street, another Downtown Concord fixture, , will be closing.
Meredith Gonzales, the owner of the shop, announced in an email and Facebook post that she was closing the shop. She told supporters and friends that it was with a heavy heart that she was making the decision.
“As we are all aware, this recovery has been a slow one, and it has made business difficult for many of us,” she noted. “Thank you for your support throughout the years.”

The combination home décor, gift, carpet, flooring, and home renovation products store, with an emphasis on “green,” environmental, non-chemical- and non-toxic-based products was open for six and half years, she said.
Gonzales will be running a sale on all items, starting today, at 25 percent off, with other discounts on items until everything is gone. She stated that there were organic mattress sets – two queen and two twin floor models – that would be selling for half off, right now.

“I don't expect those to be here long, so come quickly if you are in the market for a great deal on a great mattress,” she stated.
On a positive note, Gonzales added that she would be trying to find a home for at least some of the Green Design Center items the store sold, noting, “I know many of you rely on it for non-toxic, high quality home renovation products.”
