Duprey, Wilson Feted As Individual Arts Champion At Awards Monday

The NH State Council on the Arts will honor a creative community, an arts educator, leaders, and others with 2019 Governor's Arts Awards.

CONCORD, NH — The new Bank of New Hampshire Stage in Concord will host this year's annual state art awards given to residents and organizations that have made contributions to the quality of life in the Granite State, via the use of art. The New Hampshire State Council on the Arts 2019 Governor's Arts Awards were honor two Concord residents, Stephen Duprey, and Robert Wilson, at its event beginning at 5 p.m. on Oct. 21. Both Duprey and Wilson are receiving Individual Arts Champion awards.

Duprey is the owner of The Duprey Companies, a hotelier and property management company; Wilson is a member of the board of trustees for the Capitol Center for the Arts, and leader of its campaign chairman.

Duprey, in an email, said, while he was "grateful for this honor," it was really the 300 associates at his companies who do the work that allows the company to invest in the arts and for him to "devote time to all these fun projects."

Duprey added, "For me, the greatest honor of being given this award is to be sharing it with Bob Wilson, a friend, mentor and a lifelong leader in Concord, NH, and particularly in the arts."
