Fire Conditions Warning Issued for New Hampshire
National Weather Service: Dry conditions, wind gusts could bring brush fires in Hillsborough, Merrimack, and Rockingham counties today.

The National Weather Service has issued a hazardous weather outlook for most of New Hampshire warning about dry temperatures and high winds that could result in an elevated danger of fire conditions across New Hampshire.
The alert was issued at 10:14 a.m. on March 13, 2016, and runs through tomorrow when light rain is expected.
“The combination of drying fuels … gusty northwest winds of 10 to 20 mph with gusts of up to 30 mph through early this afternoon,” the NWS alert stated. “Relatively (low) humidity values of 20 to 30 percent will lead to elevated fire weather conditions across Western Maine and New Hampshire.”

The fire warning is coming a little bit early this year due to the dry conditions and lack of snow for the winter season. There were numerous brush fires in 2015 all around the Granite State due to dry conditions. But those conditions didn’t appear until April and May, after snow from one of the harshest winters ever, finally melted.
NH Patch will update this post with any other alerts about potential brush fires. Updated weather forecasts can be found on the front page of all Patch.com sites.
