CONCORD, NH — Concord Fire and Rescue teams were called to a fire on Manchester Street at just before noon on Aug. 18, 2016, according to alerts online and scanner chatter. When they arrived, according to Fire Chief Dan Andrus, they found fire on the east side of the building.
"The fire was quickly contained, but sent a large plume of dark smoke into the sky," he noted. "No injuries were reported and the cause of the fire remains under investigation. There are no damage estimates available as of yet."

Concord Police closed off Manchester Street between Old Turnpike Road and Airport Road in order to allow Concord firefighters to access water lines. Police were also at the intersection of Airport Road and Old Suncook Road, limiting traffic from accessing Old Suncook Road, since people were cutting across to access Manchester Road, according to scanner chatter.
