The Governor will address the Memorial Day Ceremony at the State Veterans Cemetery in Boscawen on May 30.

Gov. Maggie Hassan, D-Exeter, has directed flags to half-staff in New Hampshire until noon on Monday, May 25, and all day on Saturday, May 30, in observance of Memorial Day.

“Every year, Memorial Day is an opportunity for all Granite Staters and Americans to come together to honor the heroic men and women who courageously made the ultimate sacrifice in defense of our great nation and express the profound gratitude, respect and admiration that we have for them each and every day,” Hassan said in a statement. “These brave men and women have sacrificed their lives so that their fellow citizens may live in peace, a sacrifice they made on our behalf simply because we’re all Americans and we share a democracy. This Memorial Day, I join all Granite Staters in honoring our fallen heroes, their families and all of our veterans for their dedicated service to every American and to our shared values.

Hassan has also issued a proclamation declaring Saturday, May 30, Memorial Day in the State of New Hampshire. To mark the occasion, the Governor will address the Memorial Day Ceremony at the State Veterans Cemetery in Boscawen on Saturday.
