Former Franklin Felon Headed To Federal Prison On Firearm Charges: Follow-Up
Justin Gebo was sentenced to 33 months in prison and 3 years of supervised release on felon in possession of firearm charges.

CONCORD, NH — A felon formerly of Belmont and Franklin was sentenced to more than six years in prison for possessing a gun that another man later used to kill his wife, a daughter, and injure another daughter in 2023.
After serving his time, 33 months, for felon in possession of a firearm and felon in possession of a firearm while under indictment, Justin Gebo, 29, will also be required to be on supervised release for three years. Gebo had a Ceska Zrojovka model Scorpion EVO 3, S2, 9x19mm short-barreled rifle in January 2023. The rifle was recovered after Jamie Bell killed his fiancée, Nicole Hughes, 35, and his daughter, Ariella Bell, 18 months, in Franklin in June 2023, while also injuring another daughter.
Bell took his own life before police were able to catch up to him.

“The defendant’s unlawful receipt of the CZ Scorpion, during a time he was under felony indictment, was the beginning of that firearm’s path to the hands of a convicted felony where it was used to commit heinous crimes,” she said. “The sentence imposed by the court makes clear the significant consequences for those prohibited persons who possess guns.”
Along with the Federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives, New Hampshire State Police and Laconia police assisted with the investigation.
According to superior court records, Gebo was convicted on a felony reckless conduct-deadly weapon and drug possession charges in January 2023 and received a 12-month sentence, suspended for four years, with two years probation connected to an incident in Franklin in July 2022. Six other charges and driving infractions were dropped. He was accused of violating probation in March 2023 after being accused of felon in possession of a dangerous weapon on Feb. 3, 2023, in Laconia. That charge was nolle prossed in November 2023. The violation of probation charge was dropped on May 7.
