Former Manchester Babysitter, Nursing Assistant Faces New Child Sexual Abuse Image Charges: Follow-Up
Alexander Colbath was arrested again by Concord police after being accused of assaulting a girl and recording her while hired as a sitter.

CONCORD, NH — A Queen City man, currently being held in jail after being accused of assaulting girls in a hospital and while working as a babysitter, is facing new charges after police took a deeper dive into his cellphone, according to a new court filing.
Alexander Christopher Colbath was arrested on Jan. 14 on five new felony counts of manufacture child sexual abuse images.
On Sept. 7, 2025, a detective investigated a report from a Penacook parent concerning a babysitter she had hired on Sitter City to watch her children the night before. The parent accused the sitter of giving one of her children adult Benadryl, and the other was instructed to soil herself in her diaper even though she was potty trained. The mother learned about the incident when speaking with one of her daughters, who claimed that when speaking to the mother and in a subsequent interview with the Merrimack County Child Advocacy Center, Colbath recorded her with a camera while she was going to the bathroom.

Concord police requested a search warrant for the phone and found videos of the incident just as the girl described it, according to an affidavit. Earlier this month, after a search of the family’s home, police confirmed the footage on Colbath’s iPhone as matching elements of the home, including furniture and rugs, as well as the clothing the children were wearing.

In the report, a detective said they also located “additional files” which appeared to have been recorded with his iPhone at Elliot Hospital in Manchester. The detective said the footage involved girls in various stages of undress, in bathrooms, while actively urinating, and lying on hospital beds.
In a follow-up interview with the mother of the girl, she said Colbath babysat for her in May and August 2025.
On Jan. 9, a day after Colbath was arrested on the Concord charges, a detective in Manchester told the detective she had observed other files on his iPhone, including one from Aug. 20, 2025, that contained geolocation data for the home in Penacook. The Queen City detective said the video depicted two girls, one who was urinating in a diaper, just like the September 2025 incident, and the girl was partially naked, the affidavit said.
The detective did not find any files with a May 2025 timestamp, the report stated.
The Concord detective filed another search warrant for the phone for August and September 2025, which was approved by a judge. The detective wrote there were four photos of a naked girl, as well as a video of a girl urinating in a diaper. A man was heard saying, “Good job, baby,” in the video, and he was also wearing a dark-colored ring with a gray pattern on his ring finger, with a Celtic knot, similar to the video from September 2025, which was confirmed to be Colbath’s wedding band, an affidavit said.
On Jan. 13, the detective spoke with the mother again, and she confirmed some of the elements in the pictures and videos related to her home. A warrant was issued for Colbath’s arrest, and he was charged on Jan. 14.
