Franklin Police, State Troopers Investigate Stabbing Outside Downtown Gas Station

Video: Cops are investigating a stabbing on North Main Street in Franklin Friday; a former Concord resident is a suspect, BOLO alert says.

FRANKLIN, NH — Franklin police and New Hampshire State Police troopers are investigating a stabbing in Franklin on Friday afternoon.

Around 5:15 p.m., fire and rescue teams were sent to the Citgo gas station at 80 N. Main St. for a report of a stabbing. A man, in his late 40s, was stabbed in the chest in the property’s parking lot. The victim was taken to Concord Hospital for treatment.

Police and state troopers arrived at the scene not long after the report. Later, Merrimack County Sheriff’s deputies and Andover police also arrived to assist.

Around 5:30 p.m., a BOLO (“be-on-the-lookout”) officer safety alert was issued to Merrimack County, warning police that a woman, 50, in a white Nissan Altima, had fled the scene of the stabbing. The woman, according to police, lived not far from the stabbing scene on North Main Street.

Police began searching the area for the car. According to scanner chatter, area police departments also began searching their communities.

About two-thirds of a mile from the scene, police found the Altima abandoned, in the area of East Bow and North Main streets, around 6:15 p.m. Police requested backup to the area.

A decal on the vehicle’s back windshield had a large heart with the words, “Beautiful Disaster.” Other decals — the number “69” and a butterfly were also adorning the car. A piece of cloth was also seen in the back with the words “Cute but psycho.”

One officer stated they would go to the suspect’s home to see if they could find her.

Around 6:30 p.m., another officer reported the suspect was in custody. The BOLO was cleared later.
