Georgevits Honored with the Norris Cotton Award

His outstanding grassroots organizing and care for others cited by city Republicans.

Recently, Ken Georgevits was recognized by the Concord Republican City Committee with the prestigious Norris Cotton Award for his commitment to the political process, grassroots organizing and community.

“Ken is a welcoming and engaging person who truly cares about people. He has been an invaluable asset in growing the Concord Republican Committee membership because he listens, debates with civility and is always looking for common ground. He exemplifies the qualities so lacking in many political leaders today – respect, concern for others and compassion,” said Kerry Marsh, Chair of the CCRC.

The award is given in the name of Norris Cotton, who was born in Warren, NH in 1900 and was one of the youngest ever elected to the NH House of Representatives. Cotton also represented New Hampshire in the U.S. House of Representatives and the U.S. Senate.

“I’m honored to be recognized. Politics has indeed become polarized, but I think we can improve that. Service to my country and public service are both near and dear to my heart and I will do all that I can to engage folks in the political process. Our country and our future both depend up on it,” said Georgevits.
