Get Ready for Halloween Howl Downtown

The fall tradition in Concord will be held on Friday, Oct. 30.

Families throughout the greater Concord, NH, area look forward each year to the safe and festive atmosphere that Halloween Howl brings to downtown. Halloween Howl is a family friendly event. Merchants along Main Street and downtown side streets open their doors to Concord’s little trick or treaters and the evening features a variety of activities for all ages.

To make way for all the fun and to ensure safety for thousands of trick-or-treaters, North Main Street from Centre Street to Pleasant will be closed to vehicles from 4 to 8:30 p.m.

Here’s what’s happening:

  • Trick-or-treating from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. – our thanks to downtown businesses for their generosity and enthusiasm!
  • LNH’s 98.3 DJ Nazzy and Mya – dance party on City Plaza, and the Annual Costume Parade starting at 6 p.m.
  • Costumed Superheroes with Double Midnight Comics
  • Music on Main St. with New Hampshire Federal Credit Union and 102.3 The River
  • Craft project with Concord’s Park & Recreation Department
  • Open Mic in Bicentennial Square for all ages! Hosted by Brad Schneider. 5:30 to 8 p.m. depending on weather. No advanced signed up required – just show up and play.
  • YMCA Haunted Bus & Playground at Warren and N. State Street from Hours6:30-7:30. Free to the public. (This is scary so NOT recommended for children under six.)

FREE Parking is available and recommended at the Capitol Commons, Firehouse Block, and Durgin Block garages.
