GoFundMe Created For Another Victim Of Head-On Loudon Crash

LOUDON, NH — A friend of a driver who was severely injured during a head-on crash on Route 106 in Loudon on Friday night has set up a GoFundMe effort to assist her.

Madisyn Schmanski set up the fundraising account on Saturday on behalf of Stacey Sergeant, who was driving a Toyota 4Runner when the driver of a Mazda crossed the center line of the highway, according to state police, and crashed head-on into her SUV, injuring her and a man who was a passenger inside.

One child died, while a second child and the driver of the Mazda were injured.

A GoFundMe effort for the mother of the girl who died in the crash has raised nearly $37,000.

Schmanski said the crash left Sergeant unable to walk or work and she will not be able to for some time.

“With a broken femur and broken foot, she is unable to return to work for the foreseeable future,” she wrote. “We are raising money to ensure her children are able to stay in a safe space and to cover weekly bills such as food, rent, and other basic needs.”

The effort has a $5,000 goal. So far, $2,840 has been raised from 56 donors.
