GoFundMe Site Set Up For Injured Concord Bicyclist

A $1,500 goal has been set up to assist William Woods, who was injured Friday in the Loudon Road crash, replace his specialized bicycle.

CONCORD, NH — A GoFundMe.com site has been set up to raise funds to help replace the specialized bicycle of a local teen injured in a crash on Loudon Road in Concord on Friday night. Laura Upton Baker set up the site yesterday to help William Woods raise $1,500 to offset the cost of a new bicycle. Woods, a Concord High School student, was one of two teens injured on June 9, 2017, after a motorcyclist reportedly trying to avoid an allegedly speeding vehicle, plowed into the teens.

“It was a Specialized Hardrock Comp with disc brakes, shocks, killer tires and 24 speeds,” Baker wrote on GoFundMe.com. “He just put new brakes on it, a new chain, new tires, and had a complete tune-up done to the bike. New front and rear lights, new water bottle holder and bottle - this was Woodsy's project. He LOVED this bike. Now, not only does he have to heal from his multiple injuries - a dislocated shoulder that has been reset, a broken thumb on the opposite hand, and an ankle that has been shredded and will need surgery as well as other bumps and bruises - he also does not have his beloved bike when he IS able to ride it again.”
