Government Declassifies Some UFO Documents
CIA takes to Twitter – take a peek at our "X-Files," and asks, flying saucers or the Soviets?

In the wake of the return of the popular Fox television series, “The X-Files,” two federal agencies in recent weeks have posted numerous documents from the 1940s and 1950s showing what the government was looking at during the post-Roswell, NM, crash time period that is a theme of the latest episodes of the hit series.
On Monday, the CIA posted a link to some of its documents on Twitter and suggested that those who believe that, “the truth is out there,” should take a look. Yesterday, the spy agency asked, “Flying saucers or Soviets?,” while sharing investigatory tips on how to determine if you’ve actually seen a UFO or not.
The agency noted on its site that it believed the fictional characters on the show, Fox Mulder and Dana Scully, would probably seek many of the documents. The documents, posted in PDF form, include eyewitness reports by media outlets and investigators.

Last week, the FBI released numerous documents from about six decades ago in its The Vault section of the department’s website. Another 130,000 documents have been declassified, according to CNN. John Greenewald, a noted UFOlogist, has also compiled many of the documents from the era on his The Black Vault site.
While a lot of the recent UFO hype appears to be coming because of the return of “The X-Files,” on any given day, sightings of unexplained phenomenon are happening all over the world, including here in New Hampshire.
Last fall, a number of people saw strange orbs that appeared to be dancing in the sky on Concord Heights. A number of UFO “experts” tried to debunk the sighting, suggesting it was leaves reflecting lights or lens refractions from a camera, even though others reported seeing similar lights from different locations around the capital region and state.
In October 2014, the Bowe family tracked this craft along the Everett Turnpike in Nashua. They later had a family member put together a graphic design of what they saw in the sky. A few days later, Ben Speigel took pictures of lights above the North End of Concord. A Patch reader from Boscawen, Brad-Leah Seigars, saw similar lights in her community and submitted photos to Patch. Similar lights were reportedly seen in the spring, as well.
