CONCORD, NH — The leader of the Greater Concord Chamber of Commerce has decided to step down at the end of the organization’s fiscal year, Sept. 30.

The organization said Thursday that Tim Sink, the Chamber’s CEO and president, will retire from the role after 33 years.

“I have had the privilege of serving this dynamic chamber through some challenging and exciting times,” Sink said. “It has been an incredible and fulfilling opportunity and I am beyond grateful for the hundreds of talented and generous volunteers and staff that have helped build this organization into what it is today.”

During the past three decades, Sink has accomplished many things for the organization and the city. Chamber membership doubled into one of New England’s largest chambers. He also worked to launch several popular programs the organization offers, including Leadership Greater Concord, Capital Area Student Leadership, the Concord Young Professional Network, and Creative Concord. Sink also brought together many different people, businesses, and interests to support community endeavors like the Main Street renovation, public art installations, and the Horseshoe Pond redevelopment. And he also worked to make the city a visitor destination.

Larry Haynes, the president of the Grappone Automotive Group and current Chamber board president, will appoint a search committee to find the organization's new leader. He commended Sink for making an incredible contribution to the Chamber and the region while leading the organization.
