Heat Relief On Its Way To New Hampshire In The Form Of … Rain And Thunderstorms

Weekend forecast: Expect scattered showers and thunderstorms on Friday, with a chance of showers on Saturday, Sunday, and Monday, too.

CONCORD, NH — While the temperatures in New Hampshire have not been as hot as forecasters predicted them to be, it has been hot outside.

According to the National Weather Service, it was the hottest stretch of weather in the state since July 2011. On top of Mount Washington, the observatory expected temps to break the record high of 72 degrees this week. Wednesday’s thunderstorms relieved the dry ground and more are on the way.

Scattered showers and thunderstorms are expected after 11 a.m. on Friday, with highs in the upper 70s or lower 80s. Temperatures will drop down into the low 60s during the evening.
