Concord Police: Sorrieu Stevquoah allegedly beat his girlfriend with a belt, threatened to kill her with a knife.

An aspiring hip-hop artist and actor formerly of Lowell with a previous domestic assault arrest under his belt was arrested last month after allegedly beating his girlfriend.

When police arrived, they met with the victim and her father and brother, and she alleged being “physically assaulted throughout the day” by Stevquoah. She stated that the two had been together for about four years and he recently started beating her.

The woman alleged that earlier in the day, the two were together and afterwards, Stevquoah “accused her of taking advantage of him” which led to a heated argument and him “beating her with a belt” on her left arm.

“When looking at (her) left arm, I observed two distinct belt marks which appeared to be fresh as they were swollen and red in color,” the officer report.

The woman alleged that he had threatened to kill her with a knife. When asked what she meant, she reportedly stated he allegedly held a knife to her neck, choking her with his hands, but the officer didn’t see any noticeable marks or nicks. The victim did have bruising on her shoulder, the officer noted. She stated that she had “had enough” and would be moving back in with her father.

One of the officers spoke with the father who said that the two had been involved for a couple of years and lived together “on and off.”

The officer went to speak with Stevquoah who stated that he was “confused” as to why the police wanted to talk with him. He reportedly stated that he had been sleeping and was woken up by the officers knocking at the door. He reportedly told police that they were only roommates and nothing more. When asked if he ever had a physical relationship with her, he allegedly stated that he had not and he had a different girlfriend.

Stevquoah allegedly denied any problems between the couple. After explaining the allegations to him, Stevquoah allegedly stated that she was “making it up” and that the argument earlier in the day was verbal only. Stevquoah was arrested and taken into custody.

During processing, police realized he was out on bail on a operating after suspension charge from May 4, and the breach charge was added. He’s due in court on June 30.

According to The Lowell Sun, Stevquoah was arrested in 2013 in Lowell on a domestic assault and battery charge. He has pictures posted on a number of “talent” sites, offering services as an actor and voiceover artist. Stevquoah is also an aspiring hip-hop performer, recording under the moniker of “Creamie Shakes.”
