Home Burglaries Reported in Penacook
Concord Police are seeking the public's help solving a number of incidents at residences during the last week.

The Concord Regional Crimeline has issued an alert requesting any information about recent residential burglaries in Penacook, according to a release by Lt. Timothy O’Malley, of the criminal investigations division of the police department.
Between Sept. 1, and Sept. 6, a number of homes were burglarized while people were home sleeping, according to police.
On Sept. 1, two residents on Bog Road woke up after an unknown suspect or suspects “entered their homes during the night through unlocked first floor windows.” The suspects removed a purse, a wallet, prescription medications, and loose change, according to the alert.

A few days later, on Sept. 6, a woman on Americana Drive woke up around 2:30 a.m. and found two unknown men in her bedroom.
“The resident yelled at the men, who fled the scene without further incident,” O’Malley stated. “It was later discovered that the point of entry was a ground floor unlocked window.”

The suspects rummaged through different areas of the home before stealing a digital device from a nightstand next to the sleeping resident, according to the report, and then fled toward Emperor Drive.
The suspects were described as tall and thin men.
Later that morning, residents on Fisherville Road and Bog Road woke up and found unknown suspects in their homes, gaining access to the homes through unlocked, first floor windows. Cash, medication, and electronics were stolen from the home.
“Concord PD is asking that all city residents be alert to any unusual persons, vehicles, or activities in their neighborhoods during the overnight hours, and to call 911 if they see or hear anything suspicious,” O’Malley stated. “Residents are encouraged to be aware of any unlocked first floor windows, even if they seem too high for an average person to enter. Stepladders and other large objects found outside have been used by the suspect(s) to gain access to higher first floor windows. Window screens have also been removed and/or bypassed to gain entry to the homes.”
Police have submitted evidence to the New Hampshire State Police Forensic Laboratory for analysis and the investigation is ongoing.
