Hundreds Of Wrestlers Battle In More Than 500-Plus Bouts At JV New Hampshire Tournament

Concord wins 5th straight title while Timberlane and Keene place; Exeter, Londonderry, Salem, and Windham all made the Top 10 Saturday.

HAMPSTEAD, NH — Hundreds of junior varsity wrestlers from 29 Granite State high schools faced off in more than 500 bouts at Timberlane Regional High School in Hampstead Saturday.

The wrestlers competed in 15 weight categories. There were so many wrestlers in three weight categories — 132, 144, and 150 pounds that the tourney had to create extra brackets to accommodate all of the wrestlers.

15. Bow and Winnacunnet: Tied with 10 points

17. Nashua North and Winnisquam: Tied with 7 points.

19. Alvirne and Plymouth Regional: Tied with 7 points

21. John Stark Regional, Lebanon, Mascoma Valley, Merrimack, Milford, Portsmouth, Prospect Mountain Regional, and Stevens.

This is the fifth year in a row Concord has won JV states.
